The New England Assembly of Student Registered Nurse Anesthetists Outstanding Clinical and Academic Achievement Student Award  
Purpose:

To recognize two students in the clinical portion of their program for outstanding clinical and academic performance in a Nurse Anesthesia Master’s degree program.  Each student will receive a scholarship in the amount of $500.00.


Criteria for selection:

        1)     Letter of recommendation from your program director or clinical instructor/coordinator to include academic standing and the reason why they feel the student should be considered.


2)    
Maximum of one page personal statement to include:

a)      What contributions you would like to make to anesthesia as a CRNA in the future.

b)     Unique characteristics about yourself.

c)      Financial needs for the scholarship.


3)    Must be in the clinical portion of program. 

4)   The president, vice-president, secretary, treasurer, and scholarship committee members of the NEASRNA  are ineligible for the scholarship.
 


5)    
Must be a member of an accredited New England Assembly Nurse Anesthesia Program (This includes NY and NJ).



 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Nomination and selection process:

Applications must be postmarked by February 11, 2009.  Mail application in one envelope to Rozanna Penney. For the mailing address, please email Rozanna at ralperovich@gmail.com.  If you have any questions regarding the application process feel free to email any representative of the NEASRNA.  Email addresses can be found on our website (www.neasrna.org). Applications will be reviewed and recipients will be determined by the members of the NEASRNA scholarship committee during the NEASRNA winter meeting on March 6, 2008.  Scholarship recipient’s names will be posted at www.neasrna.org by March 11, 2009.


The New England Assembly of Student Registered Nurse Anesthetists Mid-Year Assembly Sponsorship     

Purpose:

To aid one student in attending the Mid-Year Assembly. One student, who is interested in learning about the government relations, legislative process and impact federal legislature has on CRNA practice will be sponsored to attend the Mid-Year Assembly in the amount of $500.00.

Criteria for selection:

1)     Letter of recommendation from your program director or clinical instructor/coordinator to include academic standing and the reason why they feel the student should be considered.

2)     Maximum of one page personal statement to include:

a)       What contributions you would like to make to anesthesia as a CRNA in the future.

b)     Unique characteristics about yourself.

c)      Reasons for attending the Mid-Year Assembly

3)    Curriculum Vita to include student’s professional involvement. 

4)  Student must not be getting sponsored by any other organization to attend the Mid Year Assembly.

5)   The president, vice-president, secretary, treasurer, and scholarship committee members of the NEASRNA  are ineligible for the scholarship.

6)     Must be a member of an accredited New England Assembly Nurse Anesthesia Program (This includes NY and NJ).
