The New England Assembly of Student Registered Nurse Anesthetists Outstanding
Clinical and Academic Achievement Student Award  
Purpose:

To recognize two students in the clinical portion of their program for outstanding clinical and academic performance in a Nurse Anesthesia Master’s degree program.  Each student will receive a scholarship in the amount of $500.00.

Criteria for selection:
  1. Letter of recommendation from your program director or clinical instructor/coordinator to include academic standing and the reason why they feel the student should be considered.
  2. Maximum of one page personal statement to include:
    • What contributions you would like to make to anesthesia as a CRNA in the future.
    • Unique characteristics about yourself.
    • Financial needs for the scholarship.
  3. Must be in the clinical portion of program.
  4. The president, vice-president, secretary, treasurer, and scholarship committee members of the NEASRNA  are ineligible for the scholarship. 
  5. Must be a member of an accredited New England Assembly Nurse Anesthesia Program (This includes NY and NJ).
 
 
The New England Assembly of Student Registered Nurse Anesthetists
Mid-Year Assembly Sponsorship

 
Purpose:

To aid one student in attending the Mid-Year Assembly.  The student should have and interest in learning about the government relations, legislative process and impact that federal legislature has on CRNA practice.  
The student selected will receive a sponsorship in the amount of $750.00 to assist in costs related to attending the Mid-Year Assembly.

 
Criteria for selection:
  1. Submission of a letter of recommendation from your program director or clinical instructor/coordinator to include academic standing and the reason why they feel the student should be considered.
  2. Maximum of one page personal statement to include:
    • What contributions you would like to make to anesthesia as a CRNA in the future.
    • Unique characteristics about yourself.
    • Reasons for attending the Mid-Year Assembly.
  3. Curriculum Vita to include student’s professional involvement
  4. The president, vice-president, secretary, treasurer, and scholarship committee members of the NEASRNA are ineligible for the scholarship.
  5. Applicant must be a member of an accredited New England Assembly Nurse Anesthesia Program.
 
Selection Process

 
All Applications must be postmarked by February 15, 2009.  Mail applications in one envelope to:

Applications will be reviewed and recipients will by determined by the members of the NEASRNA scholarship committee.  Scholarship recipients will be notified by email as well as posted at www.neasrna.org by March 10, 2010.
