2018-2019 Elections

2018-2019 Elections will be held at the Summer Meeting June 2nd. 
Any student interested in running for President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Information Technology Systems Administrator, or committee chair position, should be prepared to introduce themselves and provide a reason as to why they are the best candidate for the position they are interested in. Remember, you must be present at the meeting to run for a position and to vote for your new board members! Descriptions for each position can be found below, and committee chair descriptions will be discussed at the meeting.

President
-Attends and presides over all NEASRNA meetings
-Attends NEANA Fall and Spring meetings for fundraising and attends NEASF meetings
-Plans and prepares agenda for all meetings
-Maintenance of neasrna.org website, or designation of responsibilities to a committee chair
-Submit meeting minutes to the NEANA, BOD, and NEASF chair

Vice President
-Assists the president in all delegated duties and preside over meetings in absence of the president
-Assumes role of the president if he/she cannot complete the term of office
-Attend all NEASRNA meetings

Secretary
-Record minutes at all meetings
-Send a copy of minutes within 2 weeks to the president
-Maintain a record of school representatives at each school
-Attend all NEASRNA meetings

Treasurer
-Receive and deposit funds in the NEASRNA Bank account
-Maintenance of the NEASRNA bank account
-Disperse funds as directed by the president
-Submit financial records of the NEASRNA to a successor of the president and treasurer within 30 days after expiration of term of office
-Attend all NEASRNA meetings

Information Technology and Systems Administration
-Provides networking support and communications for the NEASRNA, inside and outside of the organization
-Responsible for updating the organization's website and social media accounts
-Responsible for ensuring the NEASRNA members are well-informed of what's happening in the NEASRNA

-Attend all NEASRNA meetings

Fundraising Committee (1-2 positions)
-Assist the organization in creating fundraising opportunities to raise money for future NEASRNA student scholarships
-Attend NEASRNA and NEANA meetings where 50/50 raffles will be held along with providing assistance in organizing fundraising events


Students that are interested in running for a position on the fundraising committee do not have to be present at the summer meeting. However, these students must submit a brief answer explaining why they feel that they would be the best candidate for the fundraising committee position. This response may be sent to secretary@NEASRNA.org.
